The Troll Hunter (Trolljegeren): la rat-censione

Trolljegeren
Year: 2010
Director and Screenplay: André Øvredal
Country: Norway

Three students from the University of Volda is put in the footsteps of Hans, a poacher suspected of killing bears without the required permit. Despite the repeated waste of the hunter to be interviewed, young people do not give up and followed Hans during a hunt at night in a forest. What they discover is beyond all imagination: the Hans are not prey to bears. Trolls are gigantic. Yes: the trolls really do exist and the Norwegian Government keeps them locked up inside nature reserves scattered throughout the country. But now, following an outbreak of rabies, the trolls have begun to spill, causing many problems and many embarrassments to the unsuspecting population TSS (Troll Security Service), desperately trying to disguise the serious damage in the guise of natural disasters or particularly troublesome incursions by bears and hungry. The only way to stop the trolls and kill them. The only way to kill them or blow them up and petrified. The only way to petrify or blow them up is to exploit their only weakness: the extreme sensitivity to sunlight. Armed with powerful ultraviolet lamps, Hans and his makeshift crew start to hunt trolls crazy ...

As you may have guessed, the secret to appreciate Trolljegeren is not taking it too seriously: do not expect shocking scenes from heart attacks, severed limbs or disembowelment with a great abundance of bodily fluids.
The spirit of this strange Norwegian mockumentary sauce is another: even with a setting underlying serious, which mocks the most renowned exponents of the genre, the hunt for trolls in direct contact with Hans and the three young students do not save almost comical aspects. Tragicomic? Half-seriously? I honestly would not know how to pigeonhole a movie like this. Let's do this: incaselliamolo not at all. Let's take it for what it is. Here, if faced with this spirit Trolljegeren will give you 90 minutes of honest entertainment that, while relying on his own screenplay, sound and unassailable, it can also count on a few tricks up its sleeve.
The technical achievement, first and foremost. For a film with a "low" budget (if I remember talking to a couple of million dollars or so) special effects are amazing. And we are not talking to show / not show semitenebre or perennial, something quite different: the trolls are almost always framed in the foreground and the whole figure, even in bright sunlight. Of course, do not plan to face the armies of Mordor, but I assure you that, given the resources available, we are faced with a small technical miracle.
Also worthy of some scenarios, but I guess it is not particularly difficult to find beautiful landscapes along the fjords or in the cold and wild inland Norway.
Molto grossa.

Rash Thst Looks Like Scratches

Due eBook is megl' che uan

brief report from the planet eBook: to celebrate the opening of its store digital , Minimum Fax (one of the few publishers with a certain thickness to not have bent under the yoke of DRM) will give a copy of Crazy Friend. Me and Philip Dick , a collection of short stories and essays signed by Jonathan Lethem, to all those who purchase an eBook by Sunday, February 20.

Despite the relatively small in numerical terms, the publisher's digital catalog Roman counts among its ranks some cult like A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll never make (€ 9.90) by David Foster Wallace, The Great Gatsby by Francis S. Fitzgerald (€ 5.90) \u200b\u200band, remaining within the confines of our own, space exhausted Thomas Pincio (€ 8.90). To deliver on my commitment to read more Italian fiction I opted for this' Finally, it is already proudly displayed in my reader along with the book of Lethem.

In the atmosphere of carelessness and ill-concealed boycott that marks the first, shaky steps in the transition to digital publishing nostrana glad to run into initiatives such as this: why not take advantage?

Thight Cramps When Driving

Il Re Ratto a Ebook Lab Italia

Apparently my request for accreditation to Ebook Lab Italy is successful: Friday, March 3 and then go to Rimini to attend the second day of meetings dedicated to the magical world of digital books, a world where people launches ducks and balloons and nothing is as it seems .

The program is very rich and varied. The first two meetings of the morning will be devoted to business models for digital newspapers and magazines and for the school: especially noteworthy the second, held by Sanford Forte, Director of Flat World Knowledge , a company that deals with creating an online catalog of textbooks edited by qualified teachers and authoritative, constantly updated and distributed for free online with a Creative Commons license. A very ambitious project.

After the coffee break, here is the highlight of the day: Libroshima: Chronicles of the eBook after , Carraronan conference held by the Duke himself! The question we ask everyone is: wearing his infamous Pickelhaube ? What they say no, but the hope is the last to die. I will update in real time, with lots of images in real time.

In the rest of the morning we go into the "physicality" of the eBook product, with two conferences on the typeface of tradition and the digital revolution and layout and gestalt of the eBook. Understand? Gestalt, not jerking off!

Campari and white wine,
one of my favorite appetizers
at 13.40 will follow with great interest the intervention of Maria Cecilia Averame of Quintadicopertina , fledgling publishing house digital which has already cut its small market share, who will discuss prospects for a just and self-publishers.

follow lectures and workshops on topics varied, from new opportunities offered by the standard 3 to ePub device coming next, highly anticipated and essential to drink at the end of the day.

In short, the ideas were not lacking: The opportunities dall'ebook intrigue and fascinate me, I hope the conference proves to be an opportunity for real and constructive analysis. The premises and promises are good, we'll see if they are maintained: to hear from these pages for a detailed guide of the day.

Self Clean Oven Lots Of Smoke

Il ratto si è rattizzato

Let the rats come to me!
Yes, you know how it goes, I periodically Corinth and in these parts does not happen much.
not that has not eaten anything eh, indeed.
I shot three nominees: with Toy Story 3 and Inception , having long ago, we boh up to five or eight? Here, I know what I miss the Coen. And Black Swan and, I believe, The Social Network .
sure I'll see True Grit, even if it's a remake, and you know how I feel about it. But what the heck, the Coens are the Coens always.
But back to three.

127 Hours has a fundamental problem: and Boyle from first to last shot, too patinato e sopra le righe per lasciare qualcosa allo spettatore.
The King's Speech sta nel mezzo. Un mezzo very english .

Pessima scelta davvero: il romanzo di Faulkner other well deserves attention. So yes, on weekends I sit back and start over.

I am planning an upgrade of the old post Ok, the price is right? , to take stock of the (depressing) the market situation of the eBook in Italy. As you'll notice, the supply begins to be acceptable in terms of numbers, but the average price of the eBook is obscenely high and the competition between the stores at the moment is pure utopia.
In short, there is little to be happy, even though we are just beginning and the situation will improve. There is already a little bit interesting.
I hope to go to Rimini for Ebook Lab Italy, at least for a Day: Friday, 4 will also take the Duke!

you'll notice that the Tana changed its face. I do not know if I like or if they remain so long. What do you think?

Oh, I almost forgot: it seems that it will rain Sunday. It will not stop more: they are coming ...

Big Black Penis 7.8 Inches

Econorugby: 6 Nations 2011 played in economy!

In this final weekend kicks off the 6 Nations 2011! First meeting tomorrow while Wales-England debut against Ireland and Italy will play France, Scotland will follow. A tournament favorites who sees the reigning champions of France and England, as outsiders Ireland and Wales with Scotland and Italy as always to strive to avoid humiliating the "wooden spoon".
But nations tournament dell'affascinante protagonists are also stars of the European economic outlook.
Try, then, to play the tournament on the field of economics! First we must consider that Inghilterra Scozia e Galles costituiscono un'unica economia, quella UK.
Ireland is facing a tough crisis following the outbreak of the housing bubble and the subsequent rescue of banks by state. Result: public deficits and debt flown to unsustainable levels that forced the government to accept aid IMF-EU combined. The situation is very difficult, there is increasing unemployment in March will return to the polls, and many economists point to a restructuring of the debt despite the help. Finally
Italy, who suffers from a high public debt, but draws strength from a content private debt, a very solid banking system that even at the height of the crisis did not need state aid. Weak point is the growth stops too long, the lack of structural reforms that increase productivity and not least the political crisis that threatens to fossilize the country's economy.
What emerges is that the capacity on the ground may be reversed in the economy, especially for Italy, which would be able to contend for the victory with France and UK! Ireland would sink risking the "wooden spoon" and even the best Brian O 'Driscoll could avoid it, even if the Irish spirit can be stronger than many difficulties. Surely not even the worst conditions may stop the inflationary consumption of beer by the Irish fans. Besides, in the spirit of rugby, a pint of Guinness is an institutional foundation!
So by Italian fans of the Azzurri, we hope that Italy in the field reflects the positve aspects of its economy but in the end the best economic situation in Europe, which can be translated sporting with the hope of seeing so much beautiful playing field and a lot of celebration in the stands but in the end Italy will win!

Forza Azzurri and Happy 6 Nations at all!
