Il primo periodo, magari anche il primo paragrafo completo: deciderò case by case basis. I think it will attach to the tail post.

Why incipit fascinate me and often tell a lot about what awaits the unwary reader, can join hands and bring it obediently to unexplored places and wonderful, or hurl it into the action without notice, can frighten, fascinate in horror.

The beginning is important, strikes the first blow, the steady rhythm, which shows us borrow your eyes to see, reveals the narrator and point of view.
